Kortenberg, Belgium (December 2014)
Getting in touch with nature is one of the things I love doing while on vacation. Though Belgium is known more for its big, modern cities like Brussels, Brugge, or Ghent, smaller cities have the loveliest places to boast about.
Kortenberg is a city located in between Brussels and Leuven, and somewhere in this city you’ll find one of picturesque places you’ll ever come across – even better, I got to see it in the fall!
Taking a walk in the woods in Belgium is no big deal and is part of the norm – something I wish we had here in the Philippines. So let me show you a few of the photos I took while we were having one of the loveliest walks.
These woods are grander than it seems, if you look closely, you’ll see a bench, which is, in contrast to the trees, miniscule.
I’ve seen this place during the summer and spring, but autumn is when it’s most beautiful given the contrasting colors of the trees and its fallen leaves. Hopefully, one day, I get to see this in the winter too – how gorgeous it would be with snow all around!
